I hate Valentines’ Day.  I don’t understand the meaning of a day of “love”…for couple’s love to boot.  Thankfully this year V-Day falls on a Sunday so I can sleep the day away with a good book and hide-out.  Browsing my second favorite website (behind BOUCHED.com of course) www.cosmopolitan.com, I found this wonderful article for us, single gals:

I think the list compiles a wonderful offering of 7 things to do if you are planning on spending the holiday alone.  Now granted most of these are not going to work for me….like the one about a platonic date with a platonic friend.  Past experiences have shown me that mixing platonic-friend, wine and V-day can lead to some not so platonic experiences.  Another one that is not going to work for me is crushing on your celebrity crush by stocking up on DVDs featuring said crush.  This is low, stalkerish and pathetic to me.  I mean, I really don’t understand why no one mentioned my great idea of staying at home in bed all alone.  I can’t think of anywhere better to spend the worst day of the year…Can you???
