Glad to know someone else has seen this man in action!! I work at a restaurant in town, and had the pleasure of being his server.. he promptly introduced me to his 7 foot tall African-American son, who seemed quite normal but never did anything to stop all the insanity. As the old man holds his rolled up napkin containing 2 forks and a knife, he says to me, "don't you think we could use some silverware??"like I had purposefully withheld it from him.. try explaining that one to the crazy old man without sounding rude.. I didn't know about the klepto problem until i read your blog, but that all kinda makes since too, being that i watched him hollow out his potato and stuff it with steak and shrimp.. brought him a To-go box but soon discovered that the potato was gone and the empty box was still on the table.. must have just pocketed the whole thing. After dinner he precedes to venture around to all the other tables on a campaign to get everyone to try his homemade hot sauce.. which, FYI, he sales for only 5 dollars a bottle. wow! I like seeing them on my shelf and the physical aspect of having an actual book but Kindle would make reading/travelling easier. You should have seen me lugging around all 1100 pages of "Under the Dome" while on the cruise. I burned some calories for sure. I vote for the tv! I love the tele! Splurge! You deserve it!
